Robert Holloman graduated from Virginia Tech with a BS in Industrial Engineering and operations research. He has over 30 years of domestic and international experience with Fortune 10 and Global 500 companies in process engineering, quality, training, consulting, and coaching Lean Six Sigma. His industry experience includes printing, automotive, telecommunications, energy, military, food processing, pharmaceutical, traditional manufacturing, and others. Robert has successfully applied Lean and Six Sigma methods to improve business processes, resulting in millions of dollars in savings. With strengths in communication and working with people at all levels of an organization, Robert has led

hundreds of Kaizen events and trained and mentored hundreds of practitioners, as well as advised and mentored senior leaders and Champions on the transformation efforts and culture change necessary to

sustain process improvement gains. He is an Expert in Lean Manufacturing, with a Master Black Belt as well as training in Shingijitsu. 

 

Background

 

Most recently, Robert has worked with a Fortune 10 company. He trained and implemented Lean techniques throughout their manufacturing processes while helping to instill a sustainable Lean culture. He has collaborated with companies in a wide variety of industries, providing Supply Chain management and supplier qualification reviews, strategic planning, training, facilitation, and mentorship. Through value stream mapping and a series of Kaizen events, he assisted one company in achieving a reduction in lead time by 70 percent.

 

Worked with General Motors in its global Opex initiative saving 4.3 Billion in 1.5 years. Another company saw savings of $31MM after the implementation of Lean principles such as setting up Kanbans to ensure materials were available to meet customer demand. He trained the entire workforce on the philosophy of Kaizen and set up the Stanley Production System for the Richmond manufacturing and distribution Plant using Kaizen principles.
