Lean Six Black Belt and Leadership Consultant
Michael has 18 years of Lean Six Sigma experience at Honda of America including 4 years in Japan. He was part of an exclusive group that went to Honda’s Tier 1 suppliers to help them improve their processes and remain competitive.
Mike has a Master of Business in Operation Excellence (MBOE) Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Ohio State. Earlier, after attending The Citadel, he spent 11 years on active duty and is a lieutenant colonel. Much was gleaned in terms of leadership principles, and he recognized that the people skills gained are something most companies, if not all, need to embrace. Mike understands that while good management and good leadership are both essential, the key principles are not the same.
Part of Mike’s passion is the teach the 14 Leadership Principles and how one develops themselves to become the type leader who can “influence others to do a job willingly”.
